Advantages of the cell block technique over the FNAC and correlation with histopathology of most prevalent breast lesions in the community at the tertiary care center

Breast lumps are a common cause of concern in both young and older women throughout the world. Fine needle aspiration breast lesions is an important widely practiced method providing preoperative diagnosis presenting with lump breast. Cell blocks that made from aspirates help preserving architecture, nuclear morphology material for immunohistochemical studies. The present study aims to highlight role FNAC cell block lesions. This was two-year prospective 72 patients palpable referred Department Pathology JJMMC, Davangere 1st July 2015 30th June 2017. After detailed history, general physical & local examination, informed consent taken performed under aseptic precautions. A part aspirate fixed, then processed as blocks, stained H&E.
